وذكرت في بيان، أن قوات الأمن العراقية وبالشراكة مع قوة المهام المشتركة (عملية العزم الصلب)، نفذت ضربة مستهدفة أدت إلى مقتل ما يدعى ” والي كركوك ” في داعش، واسمه علاوي صالح عليوي البجاري، المعروف أيضا باسم أبو عيسى، وهو أكبر مسئول في داعش في شمال العراق.
وأشارت إلى أن التقييم الأولي الذي أعقب الضربة أظهر وجود أحزمة ناسفة وأسلحة ومتفجرات وذخيرة، مؤكدة أن العملية لم تسفر عن وقوع إصابات بين المدنيين.

وأوضحت أن قوات الأمن العراقية نفذت غارات جوية دقيقة في شمال شرقي العراق في 14 أكتوبر الجاري، أسفرت عن مقتل أربعة عناصر من تنظيم داعش الإرهابي بما في ذلك أحد كبار القادة.
